Emily Sumpena
Research Technician,
2024-Present
Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cell Biology and a minor in Data Science from UC Berkeley. She is excited to contribute her basic science and clinical research background to advancing correlative science efforts in the follicular lymphoma immunotherapy translational space. Currently, she is investigating immune profiles of peripheral blood and tissue from patients receiving bispecific antibody-based treatment. Her goal is to identify immunological signatures that are predictive of treatment-related toxicity and reduce immune-related adverse events in patients. Outside of lab, Emily enjoys taking film photography, playing badminton, and illustrating anime-inspired art with her ever-growing collection of Japanese stationeries.
